Day 6 - Romantic Udaipur

Greetings!

So how would you sum up your neck of the woods in 3 words?!

Interesting thought, no?

So, Udaipur... here I am after a 6 hour drive from Pushkar, now in Udaipur.

The driver, Laksmi may be 62 and 5 foot, but behind the wheel, he takes no prisoners on the road.

Udaipur - Famous for marble, palaces on the lake (much grander version of Ambleside) and octopussy..... the James Bond film, thankyou.

Very pushy shopkeepers. Have lost count of the number of times I've been asked where I'm from.....

Apparently, I have been booked the best room in the hotel - and the view is truly fantastic - see attached.

Also have turned over a new leaf and trying to do something cultural each evening - so have just seen some beautiful Rajasthani dancing, puppetry and music, which for the £1 entrance fee was great value.

See attached Rajasthani lady showing us how a lady should clear away the serving bowls from the table after dinner.... Very impressive!! :)

Hope all good in blighty.

Mike x
