So - scrubbed clean and 300 km later - it's as far west in India as you can get before Pakistan - it's another fortified town - it's jaisalmer!
Arrived early evening and over dinner, i have a confession to make - are you ashamed of me ? - I caved in.
Went to an Italian restaurant instead of an Indian one. First glass Of wine all holiday and no Indian food!
Is that bad?
It did provide the most surreal part of the holiday so far - sitting In an Italian restaurant in India listening to Christmas rock and abba Surrounded by (and speaking to) Germans. Truly global experience?
On a different note....
As it's Valentine's day - I have to say (and it's true) - that I'm missing Jules. We're in contact most days, but especially at dinner - I miss him. The other side of the table seems extremely quiet without him!
So - this afternoon - into the desert via camel, overnight in a desert camp and then return tomorrow morning.
So it's over and out until then.
